“Improving people’s health is the greatest reward of my work. It gives me great pleasure to come home each day and tell my daughter stories of how acupuncture has changed my patients’ lives.” says Alex.
Alex comes from a long line of Traditional Chinese Medicine doctors. He earned his Sports Medicine degree in China in 1995 and was certified as a Tuina (Chinese massage) therapist, specializing in trauma treatment and pain management. He practiced in China for fourteen years as the head of the trauma unit in Shenyang. In 2008, Alex moved to Toronto with his family, where he has continued his work as a registered massage therapist and TCM practitioner.
Alex’s rare background combines a deep understanding of China’s ancient healing traditions and martial arts with extensive training in modern Western medicine. His unique treatments blend Qigong, Tuina, and Swedish massage into his own therapeutic style, focusing on acupuncture points and using deep tissue massage to stimulate the body’s natural flow of Qi. His goal is not only to treat specific conditions, but also to improve overall health and well-being by boosting energy and reducing stress.
